Former BUCKCHERRY Singer To Release Solo Debut, Hit The Road

February 5, 2004

Former BUCKCHERRY singer Josh Todd and his eponymously named solo band — Josh (vocals),Jesse Logan (guitars),Mike Hewitt (guitars),Mark John (bass) and Kent Ross (drums) — will release their highly anticipated debut album, "You Made Me", on March 9 through a partnership between TODD Entertainment, LLC and XSRecords. It's being distributed by the Navarre Corporation.

"You Made Me" was produced by Chris Johnson (EVANESCENCE, MASTERS OF REALITY) and mixed by Rob Chiarelli (MADONNA, PUBLIC ENEMY).

The first single, "Shine", was already a "Most Added" at Active Rock radio stations across the country its first two weeks out. A video for the song was recently shot in Los Angeles and can be seen on Launch.Yahoo.com.

JOSH TODD came together in June 2002 after Jesse, Mike, Mark and Kent moved to Los Angeles from Salt Lake City and were basically living out of their cars. Upon their arrival, they started searching for a lead singer and lucky for them, they didn't have to wait long for the break they'd been hoping for.

As Josh explains, "I was looking for a band. One that was hungry and willing to take a bullet for the cause. One day, while reading a local L.A. music magazine, I came across a classified ad for a band looking for a singer. I don't know what it was, but something made me call."

As the frontman of BUCKCHERRY, Todd sold over one million records worldwide and was nominated for a Grammy Award. BUCKCHERRY had the grand opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of music fans around the world at Woodstock '99, both the Reading and Leeds festivals in Europe, and as the supporting act on tours by AC/DC, AEROSMITH, KISS and ROB ZOMBIE, among many others.

In touring news, Todd will be launching a U.S. headlining tour on February 11 in Tallahassee, Florida. More dates are currently being confirmed and will be announced in the coming weeks.

Before the tour takes off, Todd will perform at a record release party to be held on February 5 at Cinespace in Hollywood, CA, which will be sponsored by Rock & Republic (the clothing line recently profiled on the cover of Billboard magazine),Razor magazine and Rushh.
